Financial literacy is a means to financial empowerment, which increases income security - one of the PPRC's priority areas, as outlined in the 2018-2028 Peel Poverty Reduction Strategy.

- In partnership with Alterna Credit Union Ltd., the PPRC hosted its first financial literacy event: ‘Money Talks’ on November 24, 2021. The topics covered at this event included: ‘The pillars of financial literacy’, ‘Tax benefits and credits’, and ‘Budgeting 101’.
